HOSPICE HOUSES
Our Administrative office and Manila hospice house is a 353 m2, two storey home located just 1 block south west of Araneta center. The facility includes 6 patient rooms, 16 beds, and large kitchen, dining and living areas. It also includes a library, 2 color televisions with DVD players and a large entry. The Manila house also includes a 150 M2 covered veranda and laundry and is managed by Mrs. Grace Teh, Executive Director of Mabuhay Deseret Foundation and Mrs. Teri Redrino, Medical Coordinator, Luzon region.
Cebu
Our Cebu hospice house is a 220 m2, two storey home located one block south of R. Duterde Street, in Banawa. The house includes 6 patient rooms supporting up to 30 guests, 2 restrooms, a kitchen and dining area as well as a large living area with color television and DVD player. The Cebu house is managed by Mrs. Abbie Codina, Medical Coordinator, Visayas region.
Davao
Our Davao hospice house is a 208 m2, one storey home located on San Fransisco Street, just one block east of the central business district of Buhangin. The facility in situated on a large open 725 m2 lot, and includes 4 patient rooms, 15 beds, spacious kitchen, dining and living areas with stereo, color television and DVD player. The Davao house is managed by Mrs. Elen Estrata, Medical Coordinator, Mindanao region.
Mabuhay Deseret Foundation operates three hospice houses within the Philippines. These are located in the cities of Manila, Cebu and Davao and are provided free of charge to qualified patients seeking medical care. In each house a Medical Director oversees the operation of the facility and supervises a number of volunteers who assist each patient and their parent of guardian, through their stay and related medical care. Most procedures require During a typical 2 week visit, most parents will cook their own food, help clean the hospice house and assist other patients to maintain their personal dignity and provide a sense of purpose during their stay with us.
